Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach, Missouri Attorney General Andrew Baily, and Idaho's Attorney General are fighting to get national restrictions on mifepristone, an abortion drug. The restriction was filed to a federal court in Northern Texas. However, the Department of Justice argued in a court filing earlier this Monday that the issue was not a concern to Texas, but should be either dismissed or taken to a different court.
"...I think the best way to read it is that they’re just buying time to figure out what to do about mifepristone,” said law professor Mary Ziegler. Ziegler also commented that the court filing said nothing about the drug itself.
